Remember the
Lusitania!

Delilberately torpedoed by a German U-boat off the
coast of Ireland in 1915, the luxury liner Lusitania sank to its watery
grave beneath the icy depths of the North Atlantic. It was one of history's
worst disasters at sea, second only to the sinking of the Titanic.
Witness the last days and moments aboard this
doomed ship through the experiences of three children who were on that
fateful voyage: eleven-year-old Frank Hook, a third-class passenger moving
to England with his older sister: twelve-year-old Avis Dolphin, a
second-class passenger on her way to an English boarding school; and
five-month-old Audrey Pearl, travelling in luxurious first class with her
family.
Although their day-to-day lives were quite
different, these three children shared a common bond- they all survived the
tragic sinking. Their stories, pulled from the pages of newspaper articles,
historical documents, and personal interviews, capture all the drama and
tragedy of this devestating event.
